SNMPv3 Protocol Implementation
DMH SNMP-Agent is a complete implementaiton of the snmpv3 set of industry standards (ietf rfcs). It supports the full SNMPv3 protocol including USM, VACM, and SNMPv3 Application MIBS. The agent passes the most rigorous industry tests including DOCSIS.
USM Support includes: MD5, SHA1 authentication algorithms, CBC-DES, AES encryption algorithms, and usmUserTable for remote configuration. All SNMPv3 Application MIBs (rfc3413) are supported. All snmpv3 related mibs are fully implemented. The agent can be fully configured remotely by an snmpv3 manager.
The SNMPv3 support is optional. You can upgrade our basic snmpv1 or snmpv2c to snmpv3 at any point of your product life cycle. DMH MIB API and the MIB-Compiler are identical for all snmp agents. The SNMP-Agent can be configured to process SNMPv1, SNMPv2c and SNMPv3.
